EDUCATION CONSULTANT
JAKES PROJECTS

With a masters degree in education majoring in sustainability, he is known across far north Queensland for his cross-cultural approach to education throughout all age brackets in the public and private school system. He incorporates indigenous cultural perspectives and practices to affect lasting, sustainable change in the lives of students and the wider community. His way of focusing on new ways of learning experiences, cultural enrichment, and cultural and societal exchange for students from diverse backgrounds is inspired by his extensive work in indigenous community across Queensland, the Pacific Islands, as well as in multiple countries throughout South East Asia. Jake is also a major collaborator and head education consultant for the Ngarra project.

Jake’s role with the IK Systems Hub and NGARRA led him into the project, specifically into the education material development, and the immersive ethnographic VR experiences.
