Serving as this project’s heritage political anthropological consultant, Alicia is a PhD candidate in archaeology and a Gates Cambridge Scholar at the University of Cambridge, specializing in cultural heritage and political anthropology. Alicia has 15+ years experience directing global programs for the American Museum of Natural History (Director of AMNH Expeditions), Columbia University (Director of Global Programs) and the Smithsonian Institution (internat coordinator She has consulted for the United Nations, the World Bank, and the countries of Dubai, El Salvador, Myanmar, and the Philippines, and her work has taken her to 130+ countries. She has two masters degrees, from Columbia and Cambridge universities. Alicia also serves in an advisory capacity to a 2020 National Geographic Explorer grant on Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago.
